or nearly twenty years, the six Gods of Trivallyn have been silent and deaf to the prayers of their mortals. War is brewing and imminent across all the lands, causing words forsaking the lost Gods to be whispered within every realm.
With his country posed upon the brink of battle, Prince Kaymin Numont unexpectedly finds himself drawn into an encounter with a strange man-- one who claims to know not only the reasons for the Gods' absence, but also the truth behind all the disasters of nature occurring throughout the lands. This man also gives name to the true force threatening their world, a force intent upon manipulating all of Trivallyn into its' own destruction.
Together with his royal wizard, Jian, Kaymin begins a journey that will lead them through foreign lands, political upheaval, unknown dangers, and surprising allies. The battle for Trivallyn has begun.

    really disappointed...........

the first book was free, but the story was nice, almost 700 pages but the end of the book seemed to stop in the middle of the paragraph. Ok, free book, lead into the next that was a paid for. I found this book, book 2 and since it was the only other book available on the website, I figured it was the end of the story. Nope, this one stops the same and the story is still not done. This one was 5 bucks and now I'm sorry I ever started the first one because now I can not find the next one and the story just ends. natha..... I'll not bother buying another from this author.. I don't like being left hanging in the middle of the action (they were in the middle of a fight and just nothing.......) with no way to get the rest of the "saga".

Not worth the time to read

This is just crap writing. Even though this is free pulpy fantasy, there should be some level of writing proficiency... The dialog is worse than that in a bad sci-fi movie.

Obviously those few that gave this wonderful piece of work, a bad review, either didnt read this book, or have no understanding what a good book is.
That said, the only bad thing i can say about this book is that i found 3 gramatical errors. Very few for any book.
I read this book in one setting. Its 697 pages on the nook.
This exciting first book in this series is supperb. Believable and engrossing characters, places, and events. So well written and put together, its like a lazy afternoon floating down the river, just perfect.
This book takes place in a world of six countries, each worshipping a different god or goddess, who are all siblings, and work together to insure all countries work in some sort of harmony.
However 20 years ago, all six dissappeared. Since then a mysterious force has subverted many in each country to bring about the end of the world.
This is the story of individuals, brought together by their faith in the missing gods, and the will to affect to return the gods, before their individual contries, annialate each other, over grievances brought about by the mysterious force.
In book one we find our heroes on a quest to return the missing gods.
Dont miss out on their story

I don't usually leave reviews, but in response to the other reviewer...I was a little shocked at how this ended as well, and purchased book 2 to see what happened next...but by looking at the authors links I discovered the saga is 7 books total and 6 are already published at smashwords. Probably they just haven't made it here yet. I keep checking back for #3.
I enjoyed the second book even more than the first, and if they keep being this good, I will likely purchase all 7

    Poorly written,

Some interesting plot elements, unfortunately none are very well developed, and all the characters seem to be stock fantasy personalities with transparent motivations and no depth, my advice to anyone thinking of giving this one a try would be to read a romance novel, i doubt the story would b any worse and there almost
has to be more mystery in the plot!

    Worth the read

All the charcters come together well. Some things could have melted better as well been detailed more. However, this sage is worth the time. The author did a good job with thr story plot ss well as the main charcters. Looking forward to reading the next book.
