Editorial Reviews

Doody's Review Service
Reviewer: Steven K Hamick, AAS, BIS (William Beaumont Hospitals)
Description: This workbook is designed to help readers gain a better understanding of the human body.
Purpose: The authors present this as a study supplement to readers' ongoing education and as a study aid in preparing for exams.
Audience: It is intended for advanced high school or college students taking anatomy and physiology for the first time, or for students at any level who need a refresher. The workbook is well written and the authors are experts in their respective fields.
Features: The 18 chapters are grouped into six parts. Each chapter contains a very brief overview and icons (Tip, Remember, Warning, and Example) in the margins that highlight critical information. At the end of each chapter, there is a review quiz with answers. Illustrations may seem sparse, but the authors note that this is a review/study workbook, not a substitute for class or the class textbook.
Assessment: This is an excellent workbook and study guide. Given that the science of anatomy and physiology continues to evolve, this edition is justified.

This workbook helped me put Anatomy & Physiology into perspective. I am learning more from this book than my actual text book from school.
