I couldn't have loved this book more. The story was incredible, the characters were vibrant and interesting, and the settings came alive like real places I could go visit. A blog post led me here calling this book The Hunger Games with lesbians or something like that. I loved The Hunger Games, but I honestly liked Anaxilea more. Anaxilea is the perfect combination of strength and vulnerability, but I really loved the parts where the story shifted to the shepherd boy Edoni to see the world from a more realistic perspective since Anaxilea is kind of a dreamer. The action scenes were thrilling. The romance was heartwarming and honest. The deaths of beloved characters were gut-wrenching. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for more after finishing The Hunger Games trilogy. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
