School Library Journal - School Library JournalGr 4-8-These three titles combine the printed word with password-protected online resources. Thirty links are provided, with short annotations, both in the book and directly from a MyReportLinks.com Web site. The publisher agrees to provide access to the links that back up each title and to keep them up to date for three years after publication. The online resources are excellent, although some may be much too difficult for the younger end of the intended audience. Two links did not work when checked and a third required a subscription to The Atlantic to view the content. There are only 33 pages of text, and with much space devoted to the report links, notes, and assorted back matter, the overviews are brief and quite dry. Pages are designed to look like Web pages, with many of the illustrations having a screen-shot appearance. Consider these slim volumes additional resources; they're more useful for the excellent webliographies than for the information within.-Peg Glisson, Mendon Center Elementary School, Pittsford, NY Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
