    HOT!!

VERY hot sex scenes. Wow. But, like the rest of the books in this trilogy it just wasn't descriptive enough to get a good picture of people and places in your mind's eye.

    Sexy, Explosive Read

AND ABLE is the last of the trilogy which I hate to see ending, but Lucy has penned an powerful and emotional read. Claire Sharpe is Josie's best friend and had been her roommate up until Josie's marriage. She is very smart, independent and witty with lots of sass. Ex-mercenary/solider, Brett (Hotwire) Adams, a computer expert is in partnership with his best friend, Wolf, in the Security Consulting business has installed a security system at Nitro's request on Josie's house. He is single and makes it very clear to everyone that he is going to stay that way. Claire has no intention of trying to change his mind as she has her goals and besides lust is highly overrated her opinion. Brett is just the person to show her how wrong she is in this assumption and how good they would be together. When the security system is breached and an attempt is made on her life, Brett goes into protection mode and will stop at nothing trying to find out what is going on and who wants Claire dead and why? He has no intention of letting anything happen to Claire. This is a fast paced, suspense story with lots of emotional turmoil. Claire trusts no one but is learning fast that Brett can be trusted and counted on and she is falling fast in love with the no commitment soldier. Brett on the other hand has to work through his feelings for Claire and get past the serious hurt he suffered from his first love, at the same time keeping Claire alive and away from harm. Lucy has penned a wonderful ride for the reader with sexual, sensational, explosive heat between Claire and Brett, mixed with suspense and intrigue, binding it all together to make AND ABLE a fitting conclusion to the trilogy. In the end we find that the mercenaries are READY, WILLING AND ABLE and a great trilogy for the reader.

Full of Passion, Lust and Southern Charm

And Able, the conclusion of mercenary trio series was sensual, sensitive, steamy and full of Southern charm. Lucy Monroe has yet again penned a very powerful book which portrays two characters that have been drawn to each other for a long time. Claire Sharpe, smart, witty and full of sass is a loner due to loosing her father and mother at a young age, under difficult circumstances. Brett Adams has been raised in a ¿charmed¿ life but is the families back sheep. Instead of becoming the lawyer, he leaves home after high school graduation and joins the army as a Ranger, then a government agency and is an ex-mercenary. He and his partners are for hire of the cause is worthy and the price right. Brett has only loved once and she died putting her country first over their love. Brett makes a silent promise never to fall in love over her grave. Well life plays strange tricks on people. At his partner¿s wedding, he feels lust for Claire and she feels the same. Circumstances bring them together again as Brett feels the need to protect Claire when a close friend of hers is murdered and her home is searched and her life threatened. Their journey and in finding each other, falling in love will just plain take your breath away. Their attraction for each other, their love making, and the feelings swirling around them plus the thrill of danger is a very powerful story and again, Lucy brings her readers to their knees. I¿m sorry to see Wolf, Nitro and Hotwire leave plus the women they¿re fallen in love with but a happy ending none the less. Thanks Lucy for this wonderful series.

    Another Keeper

And Able by Lucy Monroe concludes her sensational mercenary trilogy. ________________ Claire Sharp refuses to act on her attraction to Brett Adams. All he has to do is be in her sight and her body goes on high alert. He tempts her with a knock your socks off kiss at their friends wedding, But Brett insist his mantra is that he is not ready for a committed relationship. Or is he? _______________ Brett Adams aka Hotwire had tried for months to not act on his desire for Claire. When she is attacked in her home he will lay down his life to keep her safe. Providing 24/7 protection sets temptation on its heels. _______________ Claire and Brett work as a well oiled team to determine who is seeking to hurt Claire. As they figure out who all is involved their relationship takes a deeper and meaningful turn. ___________________ Their chemistry is explosive and more then either of them had planned. Once they realize their true feelings nothing can stop their turn for true love. _______________ And Able keeps up the pace of the high stakes world that was in the previous books in this series. Lucy Monroe delivers the fast paced action along with the tantalizing romance. ______________ I was sorry to see this trilogy end but I know there will be more blockbuster books to come from this talented author.

    Another ¿killer¿ book!

Just like the first two books in these Mercenaries Series, and Able is a great entertaining read. Lucy Monroe is a great storyteller and in this, the last book in the series she did a great job connecting all the characters from the previous two. Claire and Brett, better known as ¿Hotwire¿ (and he is HOT all right!) have all the thrills that comes when you fall in love, but with the addition of the adrenaline rush that comes with the territory when you are solving a mystery or a crime. Lucy weaves an interesting action/suspense/romance thriller. Her characters have spunk and tenderness, I know it sounds like an odd combination, but when writing romance she is great at matching strong possessive alpha males with strong, stubborn loving heroines. This is a great series that sadly comes to an end, but I heard that there is a ¿spin-off¿ series coming! I can¿t wait for her next book. Her stories just keep you turning pages, its addictive! Great job Lucy, keep the good books coming!

    fun romantic suspense thriller

Claire Sharp trusts one person in life, herself. She is too sharp a person to depend on the reliability of others as everyone has a personal agenda so she leans on no one as the price is too high preferring to have people need her. That is why she works and lives at Belmont Manor surrounded by retired mercenaries and hit men. --- Starting with the death of her friend Lester, a Belmont Manor resident, independent Claire has some major problems with dangerous people and not just from the person who placed a pillow on her face trying to smother her to death being a lone ranger will not enable her to survive. Her best friend Josie wants her safe so when hunk Brett ¿Hotwire¿ Adams offers his assistance, she knows he is able, but is she ready to accept help from the former mercenary. The price is sleeping with this sex machine though she wonders if she can recover once he leaves as she expects he is unable to commit to love. --- AND ABLE is a fun romantic suspense thriller starring two likable protagonists falling in love though neither feels comfortable in a long term commitment for differing reasons. Adding to the fun are the return of the stars from READY and WILLING as well as the Kill Book that has had everyone hopping to possess it. Somewhat comic book like in plot, no one will care as fans will appreciate Hotwire willing to die to keep Claire safe from everyone except from him. --- Harriet Klausner
