Editorial Reviews

J.C. O'Mahony
The use of photographs rather than drawings give this charming book an immediacy and reality that will be very appealing to the older child awaiting the birth of a mysterious new family member. The fact that the expectant parents are two women is presented matter-of-factly but very much as a side issue...it is more about the preparation of the older sibling and the thoughts and concerns that may be going through her mind as she awaits this big event and then learns that everything has changed bu
C. Coehn
This charming book completely normalizes a family with same-sex parents, as well as the experience of adding a new member to the family. Written from the point of view of the older sister, it is something that every young child can relate to, and will probably be requested repeatedly at bedtime. It's a delightful tale that quietly makes a powerful social impact. This book is for EVERY family awaiting the birth of a new sibling. What a treat!
