This book will appeal most especially to children (especially reluctant readers) from ages 8-12. However, you don't have to be a child to enjoy these wacky and funny stories! You won't be disappointed. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I read the book 'And Nobody Got Hurt' by Len Berman. Mr. Berman is a sportscaster, and he collected a lot of really funny, true stories about crazy things that happened in sports. He tells stories about all different sports, but the Baseball section was my favorite. One story was about a catcher that got down on his hands and knees and blew a baseball over the foul line, and the umpires allowed it. In another baseball story, a ball was hit hard, bounced once and was caught by the pitcher. But it hit his glove so hard that it stuck in the glove. He had to throw the glove to first base to get the out. There was a basketball story where the player slam-dunked a ball. It came through the hoop, bounced off his head and went back up through the hoop, so he didn't get the basket. And there was a story about two boxers. When one man started to lose the fight, his mother jumped into the ring and hit the other boxer over the head with her shoe. Her son won the fight, because the other boxer refused to continue after that. I liked this book very much. It was a pretty quick and easy to read, because it was broken down into a lot of short stories. I think most kids my age would like it, because it's really funny. Like Mr. Berman says, 'You can't make this stuff up!'Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
