Meet the Author

The name "Agatha Christie" is nearly synonymous with upper-class British mysteries, for good reason. Christie (1890-1976) set the standard for the genre in more than 60 novels and dozens of short stories, creating two iconic detectives along the way: the fastidious Belgian Hercule Poirot, and the English spinster Jane Marple in the Miss Marple series. No one could match her knack for weaving clues into her stories. Widely considered her masterpiece, And Then There Were None has been adapted into a number of films.

Agatha at her best. My third time reading this classic and I still couldn't put it down!

Agatha Christie at her best. This is one of the literature's all-time best mysteries. Fast paced with lots of twists and turns. There are lots of characters in this story so you need to pay attention or you will get lost. This is especially true during the first few chapters when all the characters are being introduced. This version is truer to the original story. Later publications of this book refer to ten little soldiers rather than ten little Indians. The story and writing deserve 5-stars but there are some typo and spacing issues with this version.

This book brings a great feeling of suspense and tragedy. Agatha Christie is truely the Queen of Mystery.

Picked this up because I felt I should read something of a classic mystery novel. Wow! At first I thought the language dated and stilted. But once I got going I couldn't put it down. Knowing the basics of what is going to happen, it still comes as a surprise. The who done it has to be explained at the end, but that doesn't distract from the mystery. I would love to see this performed as a play.
