Good. But could use some adjustments

The Eclipse version used in this book is not the most up to date. The code is a bit small and in some instances very difficult to read both in the Nook and on the Nook computer app. Good introduction but will have to wait and see if the rest of the book becomes more readable.

Fantastic collection of examples and very clear

As a software engineer, I've read my share of programming books. But this one truly stands out. Its examples are useful, illuminating, well-written and clear. Every time I read the book, I learn something new, and what's more, I can use the example code directly in my application. I don't mean that I steal the code, but rather, the examples correlate exactly to tasks I am trying to achieve in my own applications.<BR/><BR/>If anything I'd like to see a follow-up to this book, focusing more on some of the 'special' features of android such as Navigation and using the accelerometer.<BR/><BR/>Nicely done.

    Excellent introduction to the platform.

Extremely thorough and well written. Anyone doing Android should get this book. If only all tech books were this good. Honestly.
