Overview

Andromeda McKee rebuilt her life in the violent embrace of the Legion of the Damned in the days when cyborgs were first being introduced. Now she must choose between her conscience and her desire for vengeance...

In a different world, Lady Catherine “Cat” Carletto would never have left her pampered life behind. But when Princess Ophelia became Empress Ophelia in a coup that claimed the lives of the princess’s brother and all who supported him, including the Carletto family, Cat had to hide—or die.

She became Legionnaire Andromeda McKee, and now she’s a battle-scarred veteran who knows how to kill.

Summoned to Earth to receive the Imperial Order of Merit from the empress herself, Andromeda learns that she isn’t the sole surviving Carletto—her uncle Rex is not only still alive but also the leader of a resistance group determined to overthrow Ophelia.

Caught up in a web of intrigue, Andromeda realizes that the moment is coming when her revenge will be at hand. But will she be able to act, or will she be betrayed by those she has come to trust?

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
“Filled with intrigue, danger, and page-turning battle sequences.”—SF Signal

“Andromeda McKee is one hell of a heroine. Dietz is a rarity among male science fiction authors: He can write a steely, badass female protagonist without making her seem unreasonably stoic…If you don’t root for ‘the Steel Bitch,’ I just don’t know what to do with you.”—RT Book Reviews

Praise for Andromeda’s Fall:

“[Recommended] for readers who enjoy military fiction, science fiction, action, and strong female characters.”—Fresh Fiction

“[Andromeda’s Fall features] a likeable protagonist, a ruthless villain, and enough surprises and pounding action to propel the reader forward.”—SF Signal

Another great military sci-fi novel from William C Dietz.
He has consistently turned out quality action and adventure science fiction stories for many years and is one of the more reliable authors in the genre.
A book by Mr Dietz guarantees the reader quality writing, a decent plot and an intriguing story with plenty of excitement.
    Andromeda's Choice is no exception.
Andromeda McKee is a great character, a steel-tough, strong willed heroine with a lot more depth than many of her male contemporaries.

This book is outstanding, William Dietz has created one of the most complex and interesting female heroines to be found in modern science fiction. She brings a new freshness to the adventure and story telling that he is so well known for, and this series has quickly become my new favorite (Legion of the Damned being a close second). I most HIGHLY recommend this for anyone - I am not normally a science fiction reader myself and was turned onto this series through a recommendation.

The writing takes into the world of Andromeda almost like being next to her as see fights herself, her family, and those who want her to cover their asses.

    I look forward to more.

    A must read

Andromeda's Choice is a must read for any fan of William Dietz. The book takes up where the last one left off. All the twists and turns in the plot are there to read and enjoy and sets the reader up anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

    ******Spoiler Warning******

Loved the first one. This one...? Not so much.

A protagonist that is naive is bad enough. This one takes naivete to the level of the criminally stupid.

Duh, I got a cut and a broken nose...duh...nobody gonna reconize me. A nope, a nope, a nope. I know everybody's looking for me since the bad Empress killed my folks. Think I'll take a visit to my parents old house. A yep, a yep, a yep. Hey, I had a chance to kill the bad Empress. Didn't. My bad.

Not sure what the acceptable level of idiocy per book is, but I'm sure this one surpasses it.
