Hopefully, this page turner is the beginning of a series!

Great reading in true NYC style! Bruno has brought to life a cast of interesting characters to solve a serial murder in NY with some interesting twists and turns. I would not mind seeing more titles with Detective Kelly spearheading more investigations!

    Top-notch page turned

I know Joe Bruno from his boxing columns at www.cyberboxingzone.com. In Angel of Death he uses the same hard-nosed style used in his boxing columns to weave a tale filled with suspense and interesting characters. One of these characters is the city of New York itself. Bruno's prose is tight, but still contains his sometimes over-the-top sense of humor, reminiscent of the novels of another NY City sports writer Mike Lupica. The story is about a serial killer, which is serious stuff. But Bruno's characters still find time to poke some fun at the every day trials and tribulations people face living in a fast-paced city like New York.
