The story is still full of great twists and turns, but the characters seem to take on new dimensions in this volume. Setsuna is even more confused than before and still struggles with his feelings for Sara. But more and more he sees that there is far more going on than what he realizes and slowly he is being pulled into Alexiel's problems. There isn't much I can more I can say without spoiling the story!

While I enjoyed the first book, the second was still decent, but not without its faults. Probably the biggest problem is that often times there's no transition indicating a scene change, which is extremely awkward. The characters act starngely, deeply emotional one second and carefree the next. Also, dialogue feels a little shallow after the epic and dramatic intro of the first volume, and the suspense really isn't there toward the end of the volume, leaving little incentive to rush out and buy the next book. This may sound a bit harsh, but I really expected better. Hopefully volume 3 will get back on track with the excellent first volume...expect a volume 3 review soon!
