What can I say that I haven't said already about this series? Of course the artwork is first rate. Breathtaking really. And with each addition to the series the characters develop and become deeper. As things are revealed, you are forced to reconsider your first impressions of almost every character! The insight with which these characters are written is simply amazing. And the plot? It is really heating up. Things are a little confusing (as they always seem to be with the first read through of this series) but not so much so that it detracts from the book. I don't want to be too specific because I don't want to take away any of the surprises for other readers, but watch Kato! What a surprise!

This one is a little difficult the first time through, but the next time it's not confusing at all :) The Book of the Material World ends in this one, and so begins The Book of Hades. You get to find out more about the personality of Kato, who turns out to be... well, not so bad, actually. Wouldn't expect it out of a delinquent such as him. Anyway, all A.S. fans who haven't bought this yet should.

This is amazing! where to start? This is some of the finest artwork I have ever seen in a graphic novel, some pages are truely breathtaking. I was amazed! The storyline itself is quite shocking, dealing with incest, religion, homosexuuality, drugs... pretty much, chalk full of the taboo. this is a very compelling story, when you are done with it, you just hafta know what happens next...
