Beautiful new tarot cards are much different than the traditional

Depending on your taste, you may or may not like the artwork better on these new tarot cards than on the Rider-Waite cards. The cards were made to be less "scary" than some of the images and messages on other tarot decks. For example, in the major arcana, The Fool card is replaced by The Dreamer, The Hanged Man is replaced by Awakening, Death is replaced by Release, and The Devil card is replaced by Ego. The major arcana cards are represented by archangels, which may be comforting to many. The minor arcana suits are represented by the four elements, water, fire, earth, and air. Each card displays a message, with the guidebook giving more detail. Instructions are given for a one card draw, a three card spread, and the traditional Celtic Cross. As beautiful as these cards are, I find the Rider-Waite deck to make more of an impression on me as far as the artwork goes, but that's just my personal preference. If you are interested in tarot, these cards are worth the investment, if only to see the differences in the artwork and the messages.
