Meet the Author

Hanna is the bestselling author of the Bound romantic suspense series and the Dark Angel fantasy series. Although she writes in more than one genre she can’t write a book without weaving together a complicated plot and filling it with twists. She writes what she believes: good people can do bad things, ordinary people can do great things, and choose love above everything. Eternally restless, Hanna has lived in Indonesia, Australia, Germany, Scotland, England, Croatia and Ireland - everything she owns fits into one suitcase. She's planning her next move with her gorgeous (and understanding) partner right now. If not writing, she can be found wandering a dusty market in Marrakesh or trekking a mountain in Peru, often using her travels as settings in her novels. To WIN a copy of her next release go to

Reviewed by Kayti Nika Raet for Readers' Favorite In Angelfire, the first in a new series  by Hanna Peach, eighteen-year-old Alyx is a lightwarrior, a Seraphim sworn to defeat the Darkened and hold back the demons of hell. But she suddenly finds herself wracked with visions of a boy named Israel and learns that she's the center of a prophecy deeply hidden by the Seraphim Elders who've become corrupt during their long imprisonment on Earth. Though she isn't exactly sure who Israel is, she finds herself strongly drawn to him by a bond stronger than magic. If he dies, she dies. Filled with an epic romance, prophecy, and betrayal, Angelfire is a fast paced urban fantasy about angels and demons and what happens when the lines of right and wrong begin to blur between them. Angelfire was a fantastic read and went by super fast with each new secret revealed. Alyx and Israel had such a sweet romance and I can't wait to see how they'll kick butt together in the next book in the series, Angelstone. I also enjoyed the small paragraphs at the end of each chapter that explained about the Seraphims' special powers and what they did. The first book in the Dark Angel series, Angelfire is sure to be enjoyed by enthusiasts of the angel mythos as well as those who like their romance to be more of the celestial kind.

I can't say this was a great read for me. The characters couldn't hold my interest and it took me about 3 weeks to read it. The end was a good cliff hanger, but not good enough that i wanted to purchase the next book in the series.

Review “Angelfire” by Hanna Peach I’d like to thank Hanna for the opportunity to offer my honest opinion of her novel, “Angelfire”. I will start by saying I’m not a great fan of Hanna’s style of writing, but that is a reflection of my tastes, rather than her writing skills. Hanna uses a lot of short, sharp sentences which impacted on the flow of the story. After reading the prologue, I was intrigued and looking forward to the story, but I had difficulty actually getting into it. I often found myself having to re-read sentences or paragraphs, or flipping from page to page to see if I had missed something, as I was unable to make sense of what I was reading did. There seemed to be lot of jumping around from one character or subject to another, without any obvious reason. This continued throughout the book meaning that it was hard for me to fully immerse myself in the story due to the lack of continuity. The story itself had a lot of potential, but I was well into the book before I had any idea of what it was about. Even then, I had trouble orienting myself as to when and where the book was set. Through the course of the book Hanna built Alyx’s character well, but many of the other characters were sketchy. There were so many new concepts, philosophies and abilities (which weren’t always explained) that I spent more time trying to understand, than simply enjoying the read. The Lightwarrior's protocols at the beginning of some chapters, which explained a new gift when it was introduced, was very useful. The concept of Hanna’s story was very interesting; the age old battle of good against evil, with a dollop of treachery, betrayal and love. Everything you need for a good tale. Well done Hanna.

This is a great story line. Who to trust who to believe ? As this angel bonds as a guardian of a human with the angels against her the demons chasing her how is she going to be able to keep her charge live. It was a slow start for me to get in to this story when you do it is fast moving, good page count, can't eait for the next book addition to this story.

Angelfire: Dark Angel #1 by Hanna Peach If you are looking for an enthralling new epic fantasy about angels and demons, this may be the series you are looking for. Ms. Peach has created a fascinating world of epic proportions with intrigue, betrayal, battles, demons, and traitorous angels surrounding Raphael's Blood Prophecy. This story is a roller-coaster ride of twists and turns as Alyx slowly uncovers truths that have been concealed for centuries. Friendships are tested, conspiracies are revealed, new relationships are forged, and love tries to bloom. This story is told through Alyx, a young Lightwarrior. She is intelligent, head-strong, flawed, and well written. As are all of the characters in this story and there are several. Each character holds a different piece of the puzzle and no one is telling the whole truth. Ms. Peach is setting up an epic battle between good and evil where the boundaries are blurred just enough that there is no black or white. With Alyx coming into her own as a free-thinker she is discovering no one is who she believed them to be and historical facts have been altered by the Elders. I think I can safely say there are many more surprises to come in this story. I can sense the hierarchy of Elder angels and Lightwarriors being turned upside-down. This is the first book of the series setting up things to come so it didn't surprise me when I was left hanging. At least there are sequels published with more to follow... and I’ve heard rumors that all have cliff-hanger endings. Format/Typo Issues: No significant errors. **Originally written for "Books and Pals" book blog. May have received a free review copy.** January 7, 2014
