The Angelic Layer tournament continues! Like in volume 1, a lot of speed lines are used in the battles so it's not easy to see how the dolls are moving, but an upside to the manga is that the battles are over pretty quickly. I remember from watching the anime that each battle lasts about 1 to 2 episodes long so at least with the manga, the story moves faster and isn't bogged down by the doll fights. One thing I didn't like about this volume was the perv jokes. They're very subtle and there's only a few, but there's this one where Ohjiro tries to distract Misaki by asking her if her "panties are white with orange stripes." I realize that's suppose to be a light hearted joke, because Misaki gets flustered and panics and Ohjiro is able to make his get away.... but to me, it just seems inappropriate (and icky) for this kind of manga which seems to aim at a general audience. A better joke could have been put there. Overall, I like the cheery tone of the manga. There's no angst here. It's fun seeing Misaki battling her way through the tournament and making friends along the way.

Angelic Layer is probably the most brilliant story that has ever been written! It has a mixture of adventure, comedy, and also a tiny bit of romance. AL is full of imagination.

Writing this was probally very hard because it was made to take place in the future. I think it is hard to imagen the future. Foe example, in ten years we went from libraries to the Internet.

angelic layer is a truly brilliant story that is a mix of comedy, adventure, and imaginative ideas/plots! CLAMP has done it again - made a wonderful, page-flipping novel with fantastic proportions!

Angelic Layer is really good. The animation used in it is awesome. It has really great characters in it too.

As with all manga by CLAMP (Chobits, Tokyo Babylon, Cardcaptor Sakura, X, ect.) This series is great! It's funny and has a lot of action, but there is a deep plot to go with it. (Theres even romance) If your a CLAMP fan, an anime/manga fan, or just looking for a good fun read, this series is for you!

This is a truely brilliant piece by clamp, with a wonderful plot and lovable charactors to go around!! Although it might not be suited for younger children, this is a perfect preasent for any Manga fan!!
