In this charming picture book, a young mouse named Angelina Mouseling wants to dance more than anything else in the world. She dances everywhere--at home, at school, even in her dreams. She's so wrapped up in her dancing that she forgets to listen closely, tidy up her room, get ready for school and watch where she's going. Not knowing how to handle the situation, Angelina's parents put their heads together and devise a clever plan. They purchase a pink ballet dress and slippers and enroll their young dancer in Miss Lilly's Ballet School. This decision turns out to be an excellent one. Angelina practices her twirls, curtsies and plies during ballet lessons and no longer feels the need to dance all over the place. After her first day of classes, she declares "I'm the happiest little girl in the world today" and soon becomes a better listener and helper.     She is back!

    I have two great neices many miles from me and sent them Angelina Ballerina for Christmas along with a matching blanket so they could snuggle and read with their MiMi or thier big sisters. Now the 3 year old wants to be a ballerina! I was delighted with this book 25 years ago when I was taking a childrens literature class and I still find it delightful.

    The first "Angelina" lives on!

    I bought this book for a great-niece at my daughter's request; my daughter is now in her 20's, and remembers this book from her childhood. Who can resist a little mouse child who dances everywhere and all day long? Who cannot empathize with her parents who search for a way to channel the energy their overactive daughter cannot turn off? Angelina and her parents are all winners with their loving solution--dance classes. My daughter and I both have fond memories of Angelina Ballerina, and we hope our little niece and her mom can say the same 25 years from now.

    childhooh memories.....

    here i am at 21 and i still can't help myself from looking up one of my all time favorite children classics. i loved this book when i was 5 or 6 and someday my daughter too will love it. its a must have.

    Love it

    When I was little I would bring this book EVERYWHERE! To my grandpa's, my babysitter's, all over the house, school, anywere. I had my mom read it to me every night. You really should read this series to any little girls you konw. They will adore it forever, I know I have.

    Love it

    I am a teenager who still loves this series. I haven't been able to find this set of books anywhere for the past few years. I babysit a lot and most of the little girls that i read them to enjoy the books as much as me.

    Excellent Book!

    I bought this book and Angelina and the Princess for a friend's daughter's 4th birthday and she absolutely loves it! They read them every night before bed. These books are beautifully illustrated. I will be buying more of these books for other little girls as well. Might even buy a set for myself, they are really beautiful.

    For your little ballerina

    A great book for all the little ballerinas in your life. It tells the story of a little mouse who just wants to dance but has to learn that there is a time and a place for dancing and that with hard work you can make your dreams come true. My girls love this book.
