    Editing would have helped tremendously

Having little knowledge of angels or ancient texts on the subject, I was eager to read Dr. Nyland's expertise on the subject. It's difficult to rate the entire content due to sub-standard editing. Aside from a couple mistypes (usual), a good 20% of the book is repeated text. There are also entries within sub-subjects that make it difficult to understand their relationship (if any) to the parent topic. There is no consistency in how references are cited, and the TOC isn't helpful at all. Putting the editing aside, I appreciated the author's combination of several texts into one book. Being a languages major, I also appreciated her emphasis on how translation and transliteration can vastly change words' meanings, which in turn increased my understanding of angels according to ancient text.
