Judith Macnutt's book “Angels are for real” is promoted as being inspiring, true stories and biblical answers. There are many reviews in the first two pages of the book. Each review is from a prominent person, including the following:
Randy Clark, founder and overseer, The Apostolic Network of Global Awakening
J. Lee Grady, contributing editor, Charisma
Pastors Bill and Beni Johnson, Bethel Church, Redding California
Richard Rohr, OFM; Center for Action and Contemplation, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Don Williams, Ph D; director, Vineyard Leadership Institute.
Each of the above gave the book a glowing review. With all the recommendations from prominent people, a Christian reader would have high expectations for this book.
The two and a half page forward was written by the authors husband. It is evident that he supports his wife and her book.
I was disappointed in this book. I had never read anything by this author before and was excited to get to review it. I love reading about angels. However “Angels are for real” did not hold my interest at all. I love reading about angels but this book just was not the type of stories about angels that I expected. I just did not feel that the stories portrayed angels in the light I was accustomed too. The stories just did not have the feel of true stories to me. I would not recommend this book to friends. I give it a Two Star.

Even for a believing, practicing Christian, some of these stories seem so far fetched as to be unbelievable. And why do these angel stories only center around Christian leaders and counselors? God's angels have always appeared to the unbeliever...to the one on the fence, so that they may have a word from God himself. I'd skip this one.

Judith has done an indepth study of angels thru research, other books and testimonies of others encounters with angels as well as her own experiences. This is a great learning tool and could also be well used for a Bible study or Sunday School class. The many testimonies in the book will kindle your imagination and make you want to read more. This is a book that I will read often and recommend to many.
I Highly Recommend this book.

But, are they real or just part of our imagination? In her newest book, Judith MacNutt tackles this topic with Biblical information and real life stories. We pray about many things and don't always notice how the prayer is answered. Angels could be at work. Have you ever had an experience where you know someone stopped you before a horrible accident? or, lost something that miraculously was found? These are just two of the ways angels could be working in your life. One story in the book deals with a lost ring another about being saved from drowning and another about feeling safe, and there are so many more. Opening this book will bless you with information and comfort to know that you are not alone. The research that Ms. MacNutt has done will inspire you.
I loved reading this book. There have been many times we have said that God intervened on the highway or with something lost or with someone who has been ill. God sends his love to us no matter what the answer, and angels are a big part of His work here on earth. If you are a skeptic, why not pick up the book and read Ms. MacNutt's evidence? If you are a believer, you will love the Scripture and stories contained in these pages.

After reading Judith MacNutt's book, "Angels are for real", I immediately thought, "The whole world should read this book!" It is not only warm and personable, but Mrs. MacNutt has used scripture passages and the testimonies of others to deepen the truth about angels (both good and evil) in our world. Its a "must" for your readers!!

Overview
Angels have a vital role in the Kingdom of God--and in the lives of believers. Yet many Christians treat the existence of angels lightly or fail to consider them at all. In Angels Are Real Judith MacNutt pulls back the curtain on this intriguing topic, recounting inspiring, true-life stories and miraculous ...
