Posted on Romancing the Books blog / Reviewed by Patti / Review Copy Provided by the Publisher / Caroline McCall and Eileen Gormley have each just acquired a new fan/follower/reader in me. From the very beginning this story hooked me and I enjoyed it all the way through. I couldn’t wait to read Angels, Demons and Doms because it just sounded intriguing. I find it incredibly absurd but also entertaining when a character tries to behave so obviously different than they are hard wired to behave. It never works and they are always shocked that it becomes a nightmare of unbelievable proportions. But it was charming that he is so attracted to her that he has to go after her. I also wanted to read Lexi’s viewpoint of a first time visitor to a club because those reactions are all so different but interesting. I am also a big fan of multiple partners and this seemed to incorporate a lot of the things I enjoy so it seemed like a winner to me. Sam Lincoln’s character was wonderfully developed. He seemed to have a great balance of friendliness and naughtiness. He didn’t seem to be ruled by an overabundance of either pain or overconfidence. He was not a chip on the shoulder kind of guy but he wasn’t arrogant in the way that a man is when everything goes his way all the time. He did seem to have his moments when it seemed as though there would be no happy ending for him throughout the story. There were many characters to juggle and plenty of issues to work through but that is what makes it so satisfying to read. Lexi Carter is the kind of woman I love to read about. She has a fairly good grasp of who she is and she has just a little bit more imp in her than the average person. She is also at a point in her life where it is getting a little easier to not care what other people think of you so she doesn’t necessarily watch every little thing she says and does so much. This always seems to make the reading a little more fun because of the scenes they can set up. I have to say I had a great time reading her experience in the club. Overall I would certainly recommend this to other readers. I think the only thing that would have made me enjoy this book more is if it was longer. I also enjoyed the scene in the club with the other doms so if the authors were to write more books with the other doms as main characters that would be awesome too. It was a terrific read and I enjoyed it very much. Grab your favorite drink, snuggle into your favorite spot and enjoy!
Lexi and Sam have a strong chemistry that leaves you yearning for a longer story. The other doms are hot and leave you wanting for more. Tell us Anton, Matt & Phillip's stories soon. Please. Overall a fun engaging story that id well worth the money. Approx. 130 pages.
Great book just wished it was longer for what it cost.
Lexi is a D/s virgin who gets the chance to go to a BDSM party in a special club called Hades. She is a 40ish vanilla divorcee who always wanted to take a walk on the dark side but had no idea how. Sam is the younger man with a secret crush on Lexi. But now he finds out that they may share the same tastes in BDSM. I really liked the heroine, it's such a change to meet someone who doesn't look like a supermodel, knows it and deals with it. Sam was super sexy and the picture of the cover model put him right into my head. I'm not going to give this book to my mother, but I am going to tell my sister about it.
