Angels' Glory

Angels' Glory

3.6 3
by Christopher Parkening, Kathleen Battle

Kathleen Battle's Angels' Glory is a terrific holiday album that appropriately concentrates on religious-themed traditional carols. It's a somber yet joyous affair which won't be suited to light-hearted Christmas parties, yet makes for fine inspirational Christmas listening.

Her voice is so perfect as well as Parkening's classical guitar. Their talents blend perfectly. I love the mix of the traditional and more classical Christmas songs.

Kathy Battle is a world class soprano and Chris Parkening is the greatest classical guitarist of our time. What more could one want? This is music to relax to, have brunch to, decorate the tree to, or just chill to. Each song is more beautiful than the last. One of my top 5 Christmas CDs of all time.
