Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Kris Sauer
Despite its cartoon appearance, this is most definitely not a book for young readers. These are indeed very angry little girls and these cartoons are designed for a mature audience. Double entendres proliferate, and the occasional swear word makes an appearance as well. There is no overriding plot here, just a series of cartoons, some as many as three frames long while others are simply one-frame zingers. As the title would suggest, the subject at hand is love. But this is not your romantic, feel-good kind of love. No, the focus here is more on the disappointment and ridiculous nature of love, or more accurately, of men. Now, for an older audience, this book is a hoot. Frustrated with the single life? Tired of men and their annoying proclivities? Ready for some sarcastic humor aimed at the wacky world of love? Then indeed, this book is for you. Girls in high school will no doubt appreciate the wry sense of humor. Literary this is not. Politically correct? Um, no. But if you are looking for a book to amuse older girls frustrated by boys, this book may just do the trick. Reviewer: Kris Sauer

Great for a girl getting over a breakup

I bought this for my daughter who is having a hard time getting over breaking up with her boyfriend. It is humorous and you can't help but see that in the humor is also the truth!
