About the Author

• The author was born and raised in rural Maine where her love for wildlife and nature began early as did her love of painting and drawing. She taught all levels of Special Education for over twenty years. Retired and now on her second and third careers, she is an adjunct professor in the Psychology Dept. for Purdue Global University. She holds two Master’s degrees, one in Special Education and one in Educational Psychology with a specialty in ABA. She currently resides in Florida with her Siamese cat Lyla and tries to divide her time between visiting her daughter Shannon and family in Florida and her son Jim and family in Wisconsin.
