This very simple book will enthrall all ages. Simply told - it's the story of how animals can 'talk' on Christmas Eve. They discuss Christmas, and what it means to them. BTW - it also is a counting book - 1 to 10! The illustrations are 'soft' and beautifully done.

This is a favorite from my daughter's childhood.  Though I still have hers, I bought another for my 9 month  old granddaughter.  I'm looking forward to reading it again - and again - and again!

We love the vintage Little Golden books, and thought this newer publication was in keeping with the classics - beautiful poetry and simpler illustrations. Another great book to teach little ones the true meaning of Christmas.

I have an older version of this book from when I was a child and it was always one of my favorites. And now it's THE favorite Christmas book for my 2 year old. Here it is a week after Christmas and she still wants to read it every night.

This is one of the sweetest memories I have of my 2 sons growing up. Every Christmas eve I would read this book to them. Now I have grandchildren, & I pray one Christmas Eve they will be able to experience it too.

I thought this book was really cute, but it didn't catch my sons attention. He is 3, so maybe he will like it more later.
