Meet the Author

Judi Barrett is the author of many beloved books for children, including Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Pickles to Pittsburgh, Animals Should Definitely Not Wear Clothing, Things That Are Most in the World, and Never Take a Shark to the Dentist. She teaches art to kindergarten students at a school in her Brooklyn, New York, neighborhood.

    this book is absolutely wonderful

    I know this book says from 5 to 8, but my 4 year old got it for his 4th birthday and thinks it is hysterical. We especially like the picture of the hen!!! I think this is one to read to children of all ages. It is great for the kids and gives the parents a good laugh - very important in my book!

    Buy this book

    I first discovered this book in 2nd grade in 1978 and would take it from the library continuously. I now make it a point to give it as a gift at any baby shower I attend so that it can be enjoyed by future generations.
