This is the prequel to the Animellis Island saga. It tells how the African animals ended up living in a remote island far away from their original home. The story starts from Africa. Animals are imprisoned and loaded in the Spanish ship's cargo hold to be sold abroad. The Spanish fleet is on its way to their colonies in the Americas. However, the trip there is not so easy. The storms are fearsome. When a strong hurricane hits the fleet, the crew and the animals have to decide what to do.

The island had been a peaceful place for over 250 years, until alligator called Alli Gator arrived. She had sharp, shiny teeth ... and a plan. The other islanders are concerned having a predator like Alli living among them.

What is Alli going to do?

Herbert Hippopotamus and his wife, Henna, and his son, Henry, will face the consequences of allowing Alli to come to live in their island. Herbert is the leader of the Animellis Island's council, and therefore, a threat to Alli.

    a great animal adventure

    This was a great animal adventure. If you like Warriors and Seekers and Owls of Ga'hoole then you should pick up this book and read it.
    I would recommend this to age 8-12.
