I would say Spoilers Alert, but you should already have the book anyway!!! Ummmm, where do I begin? Volume X was everything I expected and more; but who are we kidding SW Frank is the author. I think to describe X the best words are ALLIANCES, HUMILITY and SACRIFICE. Al for as alpha male, intelligent, strong and the leader of the mafia; he is still very much a warm, breathing and feeling man. Sel always has a way of connecting Al to life, love, loyalty, forgiveness and family. She keeps his interior soft and I delight over their relationship. I also saw humility, despair, jealousy and insecurity; showing regardless of title Al is still very much a real man. One would think he was beyond such emotions in his line of work; but SW always keeps us grounded. Al is still and will forever be the only man for me in every way! Nico, I saw growth, maturity, happiness, forgiveness and understanding. Understanding the error he made with Sel and yet the forgiveness to move forward and forge an alliance of their "New" relationship. Sel and Nico had to eat a lot of humble pie; but it showed their humility and accountability of error. Sel and Ari are an unlike alliance; but they have crossed the terrain to gain the friendship and trust they are building. My BFF Geo...my, my, my growth and maturity. I love the old Geo, but it was nice to see him act and rationalize in a mature manner. You can never replace Geo's wit and twisted humor and SW did not. Him and Shanda, I'm so not a fan, but SW says the one I talk smack about "Shanda" (eye-roll) maybe the one to save my butt -_- Also, has my opinion changed of Sergio yet...NAH, but the juror is still deliberating. I miss Alberti in every essence; but his grasp and strategies endure. I would have never guessed the array of culprits or that they were intertwined. Volume X was the perfect venue for balancing the scales (however long they may last) in forging and departing of alliances. In the relationships of Sergio and Tonya, Sergio and Nico, Sergio and the family, Tonya and Tyree, Nico and Al, Nico and Sabrina, Al and Geo, Bianca... I found alliances of humility, love, forgiveness and sacrifice. You could really see that each of them had to sacrifice something in their lives to move forward, pride, guilt, family, careers, others had to reveal themselves and stop standing in the shadows...It was an eye opener of what we overlook and don't recognized in day to day relationships. And yet, during the entire character soul search cleansings does the drama, humor, passion, murder, intensity and BS stop coming? Ha, wrong author and wrong series. In true SW fashion, she kept it all flowing and me drooling for XI. If you haven't read the series, shame on you! If you are not in the FB Inner Circle, you have no idea what you are missing! If you want to join the FB Giacanti "Diva" VIP's...Hmmm we may let you in ONLY if you can pass the "Vin test" :-)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. As always, Ms. Frank did an exceptional job in story telling. This was another exciting installment in the Alfonzo series. The characters are very addictive, and you feel like your right there with them. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I didn't want it to end! I love how each character is developed and you are just as interested in the tertiary characters as you are the primary and secondary. Can't wait for the next installment! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
