Overview

How many times can you jump rope? This ryhme makes the game of rope jumping even more fun. It's a counting rhyme, and there are lots of others like it. There are also red-hot pepper rhymes for jumping very fast, and rhymes for jumping in and out of the rope. There are even fortune-telling rhymes that answer questions and help you predict the future!

The rhymes in this book began as a way to keep the rhythm while jumping rope, but they also lent poetry and humor to the game. Here are over one hundred traditional rhymes that will make rope jumping challenging and, best of all, fun.

I purchased this for my twin granddaughters' 8th birthday. It came a week later and my daughter told me that within a few days, one of the twins had every rhyme memorized! They aren't too good at jumping rope yet, but they will be ready for group fun when they get into it! In a day when kids don't exercise enough, having the rhymes can be great fun for multiple kids to participate in good healthy exercise!
