During his tenure at the museum he has curated over ten exhibitions including Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy and AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion. He is the author of more than eight books including monographs on the designers Paul Poiret and Gabrielle Chanel. Bolton lives in New York City.
