    Really good books but....

I love the "Anne of Green Gables" series and thought I was getting a great deal on this collection for my nook. Unfortunately, this is NOT the entire "Anne of Green Gables" series. It does not include "Anne of Windy Poplars" (book #4 of the series) or "Anne of Ingleside" (book #6). The books that it does include ("Chronicles of Avonlea" and "Further Chronicles of Avonlea"), while very enjoyable books and set in and around Avonlea, are not part of the original series. The fact that this collection contains eight books, as does the "Anne of Green Gables" series, is, in my opinion, misleading and implies that the collection is indeed the entire "Anne of Green Gables" series. It is not.

Maybe the best series of books for young girls ever written.  I've read and enjoyed these for over 25 years now and each read is like meeting up with an old friend.

    I love these books

If you can read chapter books READ THE ANNE OF GREEN GABLES BOOKS. I admit the set is missing two books (not that I care because those books were the only books I didn't like) , but some people like the missing books.
