I've read this story before and seen the move more than once, but I still very much enjoyed reading it again. The publisher (American!)has done a great job of converting to the electronic format. I found none of that illegible gibberish that some e-books have, so I was able to fully enjoy the story. I did notice a typo or two, but at least I understood what it was supposed to say, and it was only a minimal distraction. I plan to work my way through this Ryetown Classics series.

A feisty young heroine growing up on Prince Edwards Island is the center of this book. She has the best of intentions but things don't always work out the way she thinks they will. The story is filled with wonderful characters in the community. The author has done a wonderful job of painting a picture of the flowers, trees, seasons, ponds etc. on the island and around the Green Gables Home. You will feel that you have been to Prince Edward Island. Just imagine a teenager without any electronics living in a simpler time who uses her own imagination to enrich her life. Can't wait to start the next book in this series.
