Annie and the Wild Animalsby Jan Brett
When Annie's cat disappears, she attempts friendship with a variety of unsuitable woodland animals. The borders of the pages foretell the emergence of spring and the birth of kittens. I loved this book when I was little!!!!! If you have a little kid and they love animals get this!!!! I am in fourth grade and I still love it!
I bought this as a gift on the internet and did not have a chance to read it, but because it is a Jan Brett book I know it is good. One of the excellent qualities of Jan Brett books are the illustrations. They are excellent. I would recommend any of Jan Brett's books to parents of pre-schoolers. One of her books that is fast becoming a classic is The Mitton.
