I have read the prequel to Another Dawn, Sunset Embrace first. I just fell in love with Lydia and Ross. Their chemistry, undying love, passion for each other was amazing to read. Not to mention the life trials and heartache Ross and Lydia experienced, just gave them so much character depth. I was excited to read this book, but was kind of disappointed in the end. Now I understand why hardcore Brown fans, who loved Ross in Sunset Embrace, hated what happened in the sequel. There was no just cause or reason for what happened in the ending. I understand if Brown did what she did to Ross for a just cause, but it wasn't like what happened to him happened for a valiant reason, or that he was a hero for some just cause...or tried to save someone. But to do that to his character so viciously and without merit was just sad to me. I wished I didn't even picked up this book. The best thing about this book, was catching up on characters 20 years later from the prequel.

ANOTHER DAWN is disappointing to me. The writing style is fine, but the thought of the main character being so close from the past; Jake can practailly be her Uncle! Then the main character girl, herself! She vows not to have her pride hurt again, yet she continually does the same mistakes over and over again. Her chracter is headstrong yet weak in the aspect as being ignorant to a point that any normal person can figure the problem out but she can't. Some of her characters are annoying; she's not very far sighted. It creeps me out that Jake is about her father's age and is like a close family to her.

My introduction to Sandra Brown was CHARADE two years ago. Since then, between the public library and Barnes and Noble, I've been lucky enough to read most of Sandra's novels (46 including one as Erin St. Clair). Sandra has a unique gift for writing romantic novels, each different from the other...fascinating stories with believable, endearing, appealing characters and great sex. I loved ANOTHER DAWN, and plan to reread SUNSET EMBRACE which begins the tale of Ross, Lydia, and Jake. It's with a definite sense of sadness that I close this book a final time; hopefully Sandra will give us a sequal to extend further Jake's and Banner's story.

I haven't read Sunset embrace yet, but through Another dawn , I can understand the story.I'd like it very much, especially the thoughts of Banner and Jake each other. It is one of the most fanstatic Sandra Brown's story.

This is my favorite Sandra Brown book. I love the connection between Banner and Jake. The whole forbidden need for each other was greatly written. The whole story was gripping. It was a bit sad at the end but, very good.

After reading Sunset Embrace I immediately went out for Another Dawn! From the opening pages I enthralled! However, I was shocked by the ending that left me with tears streaming down my face. I wish that Sandra Brown would rewrite this book to give the reader a happy feel-good sappy smile.

I was absolutely hearbroken at the end. I picked up this book not realizing that it was the sequel to Sunset Embrace. Maybe I read the sequel too close to the first one, because I cried like a baby at the end of this book. I really wish that Sandra Brown would re-write this book and change the ending. If you don't read Sunset Embrace first, it may not be too painful.

I read this before Sunset Embrace. I would suggest reading SE before. I just loved this book. It's one of my favorites. I liked the boldness of Banner when she traps Jake in the barn. From there the book just takes off. All the characters were well developed and had a story that needed to be told.

I love this book ,the main characters are so vivid you can acually see the sparks between Banner and Jake. They love each other but they can't let the other know how they feel. Read this book and you will find out how it will end between them. I recommended anyone to read this book including the first one.
