Overview

Meet JaKoby Jackson, a good brother who comes from a good family. He's kind, considerate and loving; just earned his Master’s degree and possibly has landed himself a great gig. The only thing missing is his soul mate. The woman he thought was “the one”, turned out to be a fraud and broke his heart. As he's healing from her misuse of him, he and his best friend, enjoy the nightlife.

As luck would have it, JaKoby literally “runs into” Chryslin Matthews, who works at his new job. After some time, the two begin dating, however, the road to happiness does not come without roadblocks or detours and trust is a big issue with both of them due to their past hurts. With both of their ex's lurking in the background will the new relationship work? Or will it cave under pressure?

In her first penned romance novel, filled with unforgettable characters and a love story you won’t forget, LaJill Hunt answers the age old question “Can love conquer all?”.

I love the dialogue of this book. Reading a romance novel from a man's prospective was really different. I can't help but wonder had it been written by a man if it would have had more edge. Either way I loved the book.

This would have been a very good book if the end hadn't suddenly lost all logic and basic sense. Miss Hunt introduces us to one character with a name 'Tony' and at the end of the book Tony has a different name 'Andre', a different role and it seems no one from the story even remembers meeting the character previously although there is no mention that he had plastic surgery or otherwise. This completely annoyed me and totally spoiled my original enjoyment of the book.
