Anthony Trollope (1815-1882) was born in London to a bankrupt barrister father and a mother who, as a well-known writer, supported the family. Trollope enjoyed considerable acclaim both as a novelist and as a senior civil servant in the Post Office. He published more than forty novels and many short stories that are regarded by some as among the greatest of nineteenth-century fiction.

I've always loved the Trollope books but have only read a portion of them. Here I have all 6 of the Barsetshire Novels in one place. All 7986 pages of them! I meant to read only one or two but I can't put them away. I'm now on the 5th book. Perfect comfortable, cozy reads, especially if you enjoy Austen novels etc. Also would be interesting novels for discussion concerning the parallels in British politics at that time and US politics in the 2010s.
