Overview

The last thing fifteen-year-old Flora Fontain wants to do is spend her summer vacation stuck in a tent with her overprotective parents and angst-ridden brother, especially when she should be in Europe with her best friend Jessie-sipping espresso, posing for cutesy tourist pics, and hunting for hot Italian (or French, or maybe even English) stud-muffins.

But since her parents trust her about as much as they trust a cat burglar at the moment, Flora has no choice but to suffer through the boyfriend-less summer of her discontent from the back of a rented SUV, until...

Fate tosses a sexy, sophisticated gypsy boy into her path, making Flora wonder if destiny might know best after all. That is until destiny screws up, big time. Because just as Flora falls head over heels, an unexpected turn of events threatens to land her in the slammer-or worse, separate her from the man of her dreams.

If you tried reading the rest of this book, you would find that there is absolutely no sex in this book, nobody takes their pants off, and you are absolutely stupid to think that a preteen book would have sex in it. Stop judging a book by one measly little paragraph you read and thought you understood. Thats why the author put that paragraph. She wanted to catch your attention, but i guess she didnt think someone as stupid as you would interpret it that way. By the way measly means small, in case you were wondering. HOLLA!!!

When I first began to read I assumed the book was gonna be completely predictable and boring. After giving the book a real try, I was impressed by how relatable this book was and how well-written it is. Not my new favorite but its good to pass the time

This book is about a girl that went on a camping trip unwillingly with her family. There she meets the boy of her dreams and spends her 16th birthday with him. Im not gonna give the whole book away, but I was very disappointed at the ending. - Niara

I couldnt even get past the first PAGE without running into cussing and sex and crap. What kind of trashy book is this?!?! No no no no no no no no!!!!! I only rated a one because it wouldnt let me giv it anything lower. Trashy book. Makes me mad that people write this stuff, let alone read it!

It was an okay read. I found it rather dull in the sense of the gap of time alotted. The book was basically about a girl, Flora, who falls in love with a gypse boy, Mick, when on afamily campung trip. The book shows the ups and down sof their spin on love, showing how the gypses react to Flora, and Flora to them. **** The most promblems I had with the book were: A. How could someone fall completely in love at their age in a week or less? B. How could you know someon eyou barely met, SO WELL, that you even think of leaving your family behind to live with them and their family of gypses? C. How much thought did the author put into this? D. Was she rushing to finish it? **** Okay so mabey it twas alittle worse than okay, but the book still gave me something to do and was somewhat interesting...

At first I didn't like Flora's attitude, but what can you expect from a fifteen year old girl? I remebered that I, myself had the same attitude towards things like camping with my family. I really wish that Flora matured just a bit more throughout the novel. However, dispite Flora's flaws I fell in love with the story. I wish that there were more guys in the world like Mick.

I hated the main character, Flora. She was selfish, ungrateful, and didn't deserve Mick. I have only gotten to chapter 12, but im not sure i want to even finish this book. Flora disgusts me. How can someone be that selfish?

This book is not all about sex like some people have posted just to set the record straight. It does use some language some people would not like but that is just part of the story. The characters are nicely developed and it is a pretty good book. Story is a semi typical high school romance but its still good.

Ignore all the stuff about being a selfish. Typical teeenage girl. Beginning was a good start, middle was amazing, but the ending dissappointed me. But if you dont have .99 plus tax, dont get the book because you need to read the second 1 too!

This book is sooooo good! I couldn't put it down! Sure its not very pratical but it is fantasic! Every time I picked it up, I got butterflies in my stomach. It is a good example of how people can change each other and you don't have to know someine very long to know you love them. I LOVED the ending. It was extremely touching,I even cried!

Its a quick little first love read. I want to remind everyone that books dont have to be realistic. The relationship between the two main characters is at "I love you's" two days into their relationship on page 100 something. If shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet can fall in love at first sight then so can Mick and Flora. Flora isnt selfish, so dont let these review fool you. Not every character can be a strong independent heroine. It's her first love, so give her some slack. Its an okay book. A good summer read.

Honestly, I liked this book. Many of these reviews just want to put a bad light over the book, but it is very interesting and CAN be relatable at times. Good read. ~Paz

This book really irritates(sp?) me because the main character seems like she doesnt appriciate what her family does for her. Like seriously, who names there father mr tightwad. It seems like she wants everything her way and when she doesnt get it she complains. Also its not realistic who falls in love in three days or less

No substance whatsoever. I've read a lot of whirlwind young love novels, but nothing ever this superficial! Don't waste your dollar!

So whiny. Bratty. Stupid and selfish. Self-absorbed beyond control. I wanted to smack her silly the whole time. Find something else to read, because this just wastes brain cells and patience.

Though this book was somewhat entertaining, its plot line was unrealistic. At times the author seems to rush things. It is poorly put together and feels like something that was put together the day it was due. If it had been better written it would've been more enjoyable. All in all it was a good book. #Teen-Reviewer Giving the cold truth on every book you could imagine
