In the dual narration of this contemporary romance, Madeleine Maby voices the predominately female point of view and Sebastian York, the male. Unknown to Dalton Pierce, he and Raven Stratton share an incident in their past: Her father and his mother were running off to Paris when they died in a car crash. Although Raven wants little to do with Dalton, she needs his help to remodel her bar. York ably handles both the male and female voices, maintaining a good pace. Maby, on the other hand, sounds somewhat forced and wooden with the male dialogue, slowing down the pace. Nonetheless, the listener should be able to get past this and enjoy the romance between Dalton and Raven. S.B. © AudioFile 2017, Portland, Maine
