I've been a follower of the Ms. Mindbody columns for a while now, and I love that Hanley has compiled all of her best advice and yoga poses 'plus lots of new stuff' into this book. I'm not a devout yogi, but I really like Hanley's down to earth approach to mind/body. I'm a new mom, and I suddenly find myself short on time, and needing to find ways to quickly decompress. I love her yoga pose and breathing suggestions. If she says something will work, then you can believe that it really will! It's a good book to keep by your bedside or in your purse to whip out and do some quick relaxation stuff when you're out and about. I definitely recommend this book!

I've been a member of the Ms. Mindbody community for a few years now, and always look forward to the little weekly tips. Now, Hanley has compiled her best tips into a handy little book (perfect to throw in your purse or bag and whip out when you feel a bout of stress coming on). What I love most about her writing is that she is so down to earth. I've never been a devout yogi (though I certainly respect people who are), but her tips are so practical. If she tells you that a certain pose or breathing exercise will help you in a certain situation--it really will! Her voice is real and she really gets the struggles of modern life and knows that most of us don't have the time or resources to just jaunt off to spa or yoga retreat. But that doean't mean we can't do some good pampering and self-care. As a new mom (I have a 2 month old), this has been a really important message for me, and I've actually put into action many of her ideas (just the reminder to keep breathing is priceless!) Read this book to feel good about yourself and feel empowered to deal with stress.
