WORTH BUYING ONLY FOR PRACTICE TESTS

Using the Princeton Review book... I found this book to be extremely large and going into TOO much detail which was not on the AP Test. More than half the info published is 'junk', extraordinary stuff that you might never use... however the practice tests are a good source. I got a 5 by taking the tests on the CD and skimming through some of the questions in the book. If you want some SERIOUS review... when you want everything to be taught to you again than buy this book, otherwise... consider it twice.

    Need a review book?

Bought this through the school for $3 less and compared to other books, this is more expensive. This comes with a CD,but I didn't use it. The information is either too broad or too detailed-- as in it doesn't get to the point. It's been a hassle to study from this book because there is no index. That is annoying when you want to look for a specific person, event, or topic among those pages. I guess the only good thing about it was that it had 6 practice exams.

    Software is Good

I thought the text in this book is way too detailed and stuff - like more so than my textbook. However, I thought that the tests on the CD were very helpful and I practiced taking all of them. Note - I got a 4 on the APEH exam.

    Not Recomended

This book I was very disappointed with. I thought the review was just as long as my textbook and probably took just as much time to read. I also found that the questions were a too detailed compared with the questions that were on my AP exams.Over all I was really disappointed I thought that the Princeton and the Arco review books were better.

Too Much Information for AP Preparation

Although at first glance, the REA book appears to contain a wealth of review materials; in reality, the majority of the book is too caught up in the details. The history review section of the book is outrageously long compared to other prep books- and needlessly so. The 'review' information is too detailed and specific to be considered a review- much of the material I'd never learned in my actual class. A much better book that finds the appropriate balance between overviews and specificities is the Barron's book. (Note: I got a five on the exam)

The Best Brief & Detailed Review!!!

I used this book while I was studying AP European, and it gives a brief but detailed review over areas a textbook would take pages to go through!! It gives great ideas for use in essays and study notes. I got a 5 on the AP European Exam. The CDrom is a good way to practice time and get insight into what you can do better.

    Great Study Tool!!

I used this book to study for my AP European test, and it really helped me!! I passed the test with a 4. The book gives a brief, but detailed overview of the subject, and then has 6 sample tests, each with in-depth answers. This book is a great study tool for the AP exam!!
