After taking the AP exam, while most people were moaning and groaning about how hard it was, I was actually in shock out how easy it was! THE REASON WAS BECAUSE I READ THIS BOOK FOUR TIMES!!! Barrons AP Human Geography was the main textbook of our classroom, so it was all I referred to. The book is actually pretty short, and a quick read, the practice tests kind of fill it up. I read a chapter a day during Christmas, and spring break, read it from it throughout the year before a test on the chapter, and read it the week of the exam. Trust me, this book is all you need for a five, I mean it has EVERYTHING! If you are taking the course next year, I would definably recommend reading this book over the summer. In fact, the practice tests in the book were very close to the exam, if not harder than the exam! It's simple, Reading the Barrons = a five on the AP test. READ THIS BOOK! GO SFHS Bulldogs!
I read this book to prepare for the AP Human Geography exam at the recommendation of my teacher. This book isn't that long but reading it really helps. I started it about 2 weeks before the test. When I opened it, I realized that I completely forgot pretty much everything from earlier in the year. So I read this book and got to the exam and I thought it was surprisingly easy! Most of the people from my class were talking about how difficult it was, but I was completely prepared. And when the scores came in July, I got a five! Reading this book once through is pretty much all you need to succeed on this AP exam!
Much better than the recommended study guide for my class. The prof ended up using one of this book's sample exams as the final in my class. I find the Barron's study guides easier to use than Kaplan. Good luck!
