"This sexy, exciting race against time is a gripping, fun read that is hard to put down. Just when things get a bit too tough, we, along with Saylor, are treated to a little romantic reprieve. There is just enough going on to keep the story interesting, but it never gets close to being smutty or too heavy-handed . . . comparable to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels, APHRODISIAC . . . has a bit more substance . . . That depth makes the book a great read."

Compelling, funny, sexy and intelligent, the intertwined characters are into boxing, fragrance, art, history and ancient spirituality and the story is set in a great part of New York...

I didn't believe the cover when it compared her to Stephanie Plum, but Saylor Oz has got it going on! Humor, suspense, drama¿ hot guys falling for her and one character that says whatever they want! It was really a great read!

Alicia and Roy Street know how to spin one heckuva great story! They bring it all to the pages - humor and heat plus a ton of totally terrific action and intrigue too! Can't wait to read more from them!

I simply could not put this book down! It's an intriguing mystery with non-stop action and surprising twists. A fun ride from beginning to end. Cool urban characters I'd love to see again. The sassy heroine is warmhearted and witty. Totally satisfying read.

Absolutely loved this book. Bought it during a hurricane evacuation and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The story really helped me to keep my mind off the hurricane. Allyson Roy (wife/husband combo) are a great team at getting reader engrossed in teh story. I felt like I was spying on the characters every move.

Saylor Oz is a sex therapist. One of her close friends from college, Gwen Applebee, is found murdered. Saylor knows something is up because Gwen was wearing a fanny pack. Gwen wouldn't have been caught dead wearing one.

Plus Saylor realizes there is a coded message in Gwen's suicide note. She must work at decoding it to find the killer.

Saylor is abducted and must find the formula they want or her family and roommate, Benita, will be killed. Can she and Benita figure out who the killer is without putting themselves in further danger?

I really enjoyed this book. Saylor and Benita were fun characters. The author did a great job of plotting the mystery so that the reader doesn't figure out who done it before the protagonist does.

I hope there will be more books with Saylor. I highly recommend this book.

This book grabs you from the word go. The premise is wonderful, the characters are fascinating, and the action is to die for!

If you like books that keep you guessing and suck you deep into their world, this is the book for you.

Alyson Roy has been added to my must-buy list and I'll be haunting bookstores for their next installment.

I picked this book up because the cover intrigued me... it stood out from all the others in the category... sexy, yet very classy and well designed. I was not disappointed! This is a different kind of read - set in a well described section of New York, this novel combines mystery and murder with more esoteric elements such as ancient spirituality and psychotherapy. Led by a spunky, intelligent and humorous female protagonist, this gotta-read-it-all-now story twirls and cavorts to a thrilling climax! One of the best romance/thrillers I've read in a long time. Amazing for a first novel... looking forward to the next installment!

Highly recommended

I loved her writing style. Very funny. But the plot dragged on forever, I got bored halfway through.

They are both shocked when they learn their close friend Gwen Applebee committed suicide. In fact neither sex therapist Saylor Oz nor her buddy Benita believes it especially since the fashionista would never be caught dead with a fanny pack. Instead they decide to investigate Gwen¿s death as the police are writing it off as self inflicted.--------- Their theory is Gwen was murdered due to her work on a new perfume that made women irresistible. The pair begins to sniff around the perfume industry, but find too many suspects. However, the case turns odd and dangerous when thugs demand Saylor produce the perfume or else they will batter the two families of the amateur sleuths one joint at a time. Saylor¿s lover boxer Eldridge refuses to take a dive even though the two women tell him to stay out of their fight.------------ Chick lit mystery fans will enjoy this amusing New York City amateur sleuth as Saylor and Benita take over Brooklyn and Manhattan in their quest to prove Gwen would never go to her grave willingly holding a fanny pack. The story line is fast-paced with plenty of laugh out loud escapades, but also has too many subplots going on. Still sub-genre fans will enjoy this fun urban frolic. --------------
