Overview

A plague of mysterious origin has swept around the world, killing most of the human population. An ex-Ranger and his thirteen-year-old son are left alone on their farm with no government to rely on. They have taken in refugees, so they may all have a better chance to survive. Together, they farm the land and struggle to feed themselves while guarding against murderous raiders who choose to take what others have rather than work for survival. Personal bonds are steeled in a post-apocalyptic world where a friend is defended with your life, a foe fought to the death, and refusing to be a victim demands killing without hesitation.

A son must rely on his father to build a new moral compass in a land of violence. "Dad and I don't quit on each other, and we don't quit on our friends." But despite best efforts, some are lost and others grievously wounded. Their farm is in danger and they face starvation without it.

Amazon & Apocalyptic Fiction blog - Apocalyptic Fiction
After the last few books that I have read, it was truly fun that the main character in Apocalypse Law, Nate, is a retired Army Ranger that can kick some major ***! (what can I say, sometimes I get tired of the bad guys running the show!:) -- Apocalyptic Fiction
prepblog - Prep Blog
Unlike some of the post-apocalyptic novels I've read this one is very well written with equal parts thoughtful reflection and fast paced action.--prepblog

Great read for any fan of the apocalyptic genre. Good characters and story. This story does not pull any emotional punches.

Great story and great writing! The action is very real  and the characters are realistic. Combat vets have said the action scenes are accurate, and I agree.

This is a disappointment based upon the 1st novella, "Apocalypse Law".  Although the engaging parts are the growth and addition of additional characters and their development, it devolves into a Rambo type character that can go for days  without sleep, avoid being hit by overwhelming  fire power and sucking up to military training and tactics of the 40 something ex-ranger.  Stallone and Willis types that are entirely unrealistic.  That said the other characters, mere humans, are interesting enough for me to keep reading.  That and a brief intervention from  an Army Nat'l Guard unit that intervenes at a critical moment.  Since I have read the 1st two in the series I will go for the 3rd, Apocoaypse Law 3 in hope that it has some sensible resolution.  I add their there is absolutely no normal human interaction between men and women in the 1st two books.  Even the Puritans were human beings.
