Meet the Author

I live with my wife and two-year-old son out in the middle of the desert on the eastern outskirts of the Phoenix metropolitan area, much like the main character in my Apocalyptic Empire series. I travel about 46 miles or so every day into Scottsdale for my day job, to give you an idea how far out we are. I lent a lot of personality to my characters based on my real life family, so some people in my novel are largely factual. If they get killed off down the road, they will probably be pissed!

I was the Vice President of Operations for a local IT company that I owned a share of for over three years. Before that I was an IT tech running around in the field. This is what gave me most of my IT guy traits and where I pull a lot of my technical knowledge from.

Recently, I was the Chief Operations Officer for a home performance and HVAC company. That company helped make homes more efficient so that they lowered utility bills and helped the environment. It was a really cool company that is still trying to start a trend in the industry and help more people become more eco-friendly.

Currently, I am running daily operations for a sanitary supply company. We sell cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, and all kinds of funny everyday stuff.

My past writing experience has been largely off the grid. I have written one other novel which I plan on publishing at some point in the future. It was based off the premise of a futuristic world in which we are fighting for resources on a frozen tundra covered Earth.

My first published series Apocalyptic Empire is about one man's struggles to survive with his family in a post apocalyptic world. I was inspired to write the series due to my fascination with the apocalypse genre. I really enjoy a good zombie book or survivor book. I wrote my series to pay homage to the great books out there in the genre. While my series is not entirely a "zombie book," due to the focus of the series being on rebuilding civilization, there are definitely elements of a "zombiepocalypse."

As far as hobbies and interests go, I like to be outdoors whenever I can get away from home. I like camping, fishing, and shooting guns. I own quite a few firearms and I have a natural tendency to be very proficient with just about any kind of gun I pick up. I always joke and say that my combat training came from the Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises.
