I found Margie Ryerson's 'Appetite for Life' to be an interesting collection of stories that presented the topic of eating disorders in a new and compelling way. I felt that I was reading into the personal struggles of these individuals, and I was captivated with the honesty and emotion of these true stories. I have not yet read a book on eating disorders presented in this way, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would like a more intimate view at a problem affecting so many people. Was this review helpful? First, this book delivers on its title: It IS inspiring, to read these stories of real people's recovery (compared to a famous person's memoir which is often harder to relate to or learn from). Plus, for the friends and family of people who are affected by eating disorders, I highly recommend this as well - as it's a very easily-readable and accessible way to get more understanding about these challenges. I love books that give me both hope and new information, and this is definitely one of those! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
