Apple Turnover Murder Bundle

Apple Turnover Murder

The Luscious Los Angeles Times And USA Today Bestseller!

Early summer brings plenty of work for baker Hannah Swensen, even before Mayor Bascomb's wife drops by The Cookie Jar to place an order for her charity event...for eleven-hundred cookies! And Hannah almost flips when her business partner, Lisa, suggests setting up an apple turnover stand. But she places her faith in Lisa and agrees to be a magician's assistant in the fundraiser's talent show...

Key Lime Pie Murder

New York Times Bestseller

It promises to be a busy week for Hannah Swensen. Not only is she whipping up treats for the chamber of commerce booth at the Tri-County fair, she's also judging the baking contest;acting as a magician's assistant for her business partner's husband;trying to coax Moishe, her previously rapacious feline, to end his hunger strike, and performing her own private carnival act by juggling the demands of her mother and sisters.

With so much on her plate, it's no wonder Hannah finds herself on the midway only moments before the fair closes for the night. After hearing a suspicious thump, she goes snooping–only to discover Willa Sunquist, a student teacher and fellow bake contest judge, dead alongside an upended key lime pie. But who would want to kill Willa and why?

Cherry Cheesecake Murder

Hannah Swensen and her bakery, The Cookie Jar, bask in the glow of Hollywood glamour when Main Street becomes a movie set. And although tensions simmer as the cameras roll, no one expects the action to turn deadly. . .until it's too late. . .

There's no such thing as privacy in Lake Eden, but Hannah never thought things would go this far. Everyone has been telling her what to do ever since she got not one but two marriage proposals. Movie mania soon shoves Hannah's marriage dilemma into the background and even gives her cat a shot at stardom. The Cookie Jar serves as snack central with Main Street rented out for the week. She stirs lots of fresh gossip, whipping up treats for cast and crew, including demanding director Dean Lawrence's favorite--cherry cheesecake.

    Deceptive book covers.

I must say first that the 4 books, Apple Turnover Murder, Cherry Cheese Cake Murder, Key Lime Pie Murder and LemonMeringue Pie Murder, are good and what I expected. Devil's Food Cake Murder is only an excert of the book. I was disappointed to find out that it was only a "sneak peek" of the book. The book cover should not be shown with the other book covers. Had I known it was not the complete book I would have passed on the bundle. I guess this is a buyer be aware item.

    cute books

Great books, but I agree with the other review. It would be nice if books were in order. I thought it would download into 5 seperate books. But instead it's one book broken into 5 sections. I've been reading the books in order so I had to look up online to see what book comes next, not a big deal considering the savings you get when purchasing them as a bundle. This bundle contains books 4, 8, 9, 13, Devil's food excerpt is 14.

    Disappointed

Love the books individually, but the fact that they were not in chronological order was disheartening. To have a character die in one book and then be alive in the next is just poor planning. Not being successive books in the series is fine ....but how much effort would it take to rearrange them in the order in which they were published?

Stories are good, but disappointed with bundle

I was disappointed to find that the Devil's Food Cake Murder book is just an excerpt. I agree with the reviewer who said it is misleading tohave that book's cover on the bundle edition cover. Wish I had read the description closer -- toward the end it says excerpt from DFC Murder.

    Excellent books!

Excellent mysteries, great recipes, and clean language and story line. I ALWAYS love her books but I DO recommend reading them in order. She has a wonderful story line that follows throughout the books. Reading them out of order is like watching a tv series out of order, each show is great on its own but the underlying story line is off. I also want you to realize that this bundle is really just 4 books, not 5. The 5th book is just an excerpt.

    more from this reviewer

    STORY WAS GOOD.

I JUST FINISHED THE DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE MURDER AND IT WAS A GOOD STORY AND I MANAGED TO FIGURE OUT WHO THE KILLER WAS. WHAT I ACTUALLY HATED WAS THE ENDING OF THE BOOK BETWEEN NORMAN AND HANNAH. IT WAS DEPRESSING. HOPEFULLY JOANNE FLUKE CAN FIX IT.
