"Nanotechnology has brought radically changes in materials science research, creating a new era for functional materials. Treatment of the surface using nanotechnology facilitates the multifunctionalization and enhances the mechanical properties of the material. To this end, the author studied several cases on some interesting composite materials and demonstrated the feasibility of nanotechnology in these non-classical composite materials such as fabric. Application of nano-technology to this class of materials will have significant practical impact to the development of a wide range of consumer products. In addition, this book introduces some new ideas, which would be of interest to materials scientists and engineers."
