Since I ‘ve see this book around a lot in my twitter feed, I thought I give it a try. It sis exactly what I expected in New Adult story. College, parties and a guy you can’t forget. Plot: I think this pot is pretty typical. It has college setting, new girl in town (running from her past) and of course a mysterious hot guy who April just can’t stay away from. It has a nice build up from chapter to chapter, giving the readers lots of plots twists to look forward too. Love: Of course we have love triangle. But it is clear who April really enjoys being with. Both guys have an appeal to them that makes you want to know them. It also has a typical plot (one guy ends up as her tutor) so I wasn’t really surprised that she turned his way. Unfortunately this story isn’t anything new. It’s predictable and has typical lines, characters that I would expect. It is written well and if this is you kind of story, then I suggest you read it. It held me enough in the book where I would like to read the next book in the series to see where each character goes. If your looking for a good quick read, read April Showers.

The story of April and Issac...so good. This one was sort of slow in places, and I found myself frustrated with April for not getting over the situation. But, I guess it would have been a short book if she moved on too quickly. This was a definite insta-love, but I didn't care because I loved Isaac the instant April ran into him, too. I loved his cocky attitude and April's as well in the beginning. She just seemed to lose something from her character as the story progressed which made me like her less at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one. Oh, be warned this one does end with a cliffhanger, but the next book is out soon. I saw it come up in a read to review program recently.

This was a really good book. It was a somewhat refreshing take on new adult that is much needed. There is the typical girl meets boy, can't have boy, tries to care for a different boy, but is unable to fully. Beyond that it was refreshing and fun! The characters were well thought out, as well as their personalities and how they mesh. The plot made sense and was not lacking any holes or confusion. April is on her own for what appears to be the first time. She's without anyone she knows. Within a few days she starts making friends and even runs into a mysterious guy (Isaac) who keeps popping up when she least expects it. She stays pretty much the same throughout-no major bipolar moments which is nice. She didn't change for a guy which happens way too much these days. Isaac is awesome. He is mysterious, but is not the stereotypical "bad boy". It's eluded to, but he has much more depth than that. Lukas was also a good guy. They are similar-they both have surprises is store for April, but they are different enough it is easy to see why April is so torn between the two. I wish there was more information about ALL of the characters, but for this story's sake it was plenty to thrive off of. I absolutely adored all of the pop culture references. It certainly made it relevant for me. They made me giggle a lot of the times. I loved the little plot twists that happened as well. It definitely kept me wanting more and kept me reading. Some of the sayings were weird to me, but that may just be because of a slight language barrier between UK English and USA English. They were simply weird to me, but not anything bad. Overall I really enjoyed this. That cliffhanger was intense! I cannot wait to know what happens next. Soon! I think everyone should read this as (again) it is a fresh take on a genre that is quickly getting boring.

April Showers is Karli Perren's debut novel. The synopsis completely drew me in and I knew it was something I had to read, especially seeing that it took place in England so I could imagine them talking with their hot British accents. April Adams is starting fresh. She has enrolled at Mancheseter and it's a whole new experience for her. After literally running into the hottest guy on campus, Isaac, her thoughts are consumed by him. She just can't shake him no matter how hard she tries. Confused by her emotions, she finds comfort in the friendship of Lukas Roberts. Torn between feelings of passion and safety, April must decide what truly makes her happy. I loved April's snarky attitude. I also loved how she had the ability to take what she dished out. I did have a couple of faults with her, the first being how she couldn't make up her mind and ignored her own feelings. The second was the way pitted Isaac against Lukas, knowing how they both felt about her. Speaking of the men, I loved Isaac. He was just as snarky as April and I loved how they interacted with one another. He's also willing to risk everything for April if she would just let him. As for Lukas, I really liked him at first. I even found comfort in him myself. As their friendship grows into more, April learns that maybe he wasn't the security blanket she first thought he was. Perrin has built an intense love triangle on a college setting. Between lies, deception, passion and romance, this story takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. It had me laughing one minute and sobbing the next. The only fault I had with the story itself is that it ended in a tragic cliffhanger, which I hate. I can't wait for the next book in the series to see the fallout. It also took a little getting use to the language at first as the characters are British and it takes place in England. If you love an intense romance, then you should definitely give this book a try. It's now one of my to favorites in the new adult genre. DISCLAIMER: I received a copy of this book, at no charge to me, in exchange for my honest review.

Holy Roller Coaster of Emotions, I am not talking about the fun, screaming for joy, make you want to do it again kind either.I am talking about the kind that are up and down and makes you anxious, scream you brains out terror, hair pulling kind. The kind that make you wonder why you even went there? Don't get me wrong, this book was fan-freaking-tastic!!!! I don't know where to begin, so lets start at the beginning shall we..... April goes to college, rans in to cute, hot guy, like literally runs into him. (That was great by the way) Instant connection, we are talking sparks that are flying.April goes to class, meets another cute, hot guy. Not any sparks this time. Gets to know cute, hot guy, Lukas, and starts to become friends with him.She runs into, not literally this time, the first cute, hot guy. Which we find out is Isaac. Again with the sparks.April finds out something about Isaac, that pretty much puts a halt to her getting to know him any further, even though she really really wants to, and he really really wants her.So she decides to give up on Isaac. And thinks she will be happy. (HA fat chance at that, life is never that easy!)She starts to date other cute guy, Lukas, but then she finds out something about him, which was like really really bad. So she's in a two day self pity party, drunk, hasn't eaten, etc etc. In walks Isaac. He cleans her up, feeds her and they live happily ever after, right?  WRONG!!!  Just when you think its the ending to a happy beginning, something else happens, and that I am NOT going to give away. You will have to read for your self if you want to know. It does end on a cliffhanger, but not a really really bad, I'm going to pull my teeth out, and maybe stalk the arthur until the next book is out kind of bad. But still it's a cliffhanger. WHY oh WHY to you torture us that way. Does it make you happy to leave us in despair??? anyway, as you can see, I totally enjoyed this book, had to stop and breath deep at some parts (anxiety and all) But so totally worth it.I can NOT wait for the next book. So please Karli Perrin write faster. MUST write faster!
