I bought this as an adjunct to the textbook we're using in my elementary Arabic class. This is a great help. It is a very slim, compact guide with clear language and solid explanations. The Arabic is in a large, easy-to-read font, and there are transliterations. I bought this mostly for the verb conjugations -- I may also purchase a more detailed guide to the grammar.

This book is absolutely fantastic for beginners (like myself), though I can see how it would also be of great use for the more experienced learners as well. The ONLY gripe I have with the book, is the fact that it assumes you can already read the Arabic alphabet. So it may not be the absolute best for a true beginner, but after learning how to read and write in Arabic, this would be the best book you can pick up.
