Meet the Author

Paul Bahn is a prehistorian and archaeology writer. He is the author or editor of numerous books, including the standard introduction to cave art, Journey Through the Ice Age.

Colin Renfrew is Disney Professor Emeritus of Archaeology and former Director of theMcDonald Institute for Archaeological Research at the University of Cambridge. He is theauthor and editor of many books, including Before Civilization, Archaeology and Language, andPrehistory and coeditor (with Paul Bahn) of The Cambridge World Prehistory. He is a fellow ofthe British Academy and a life peer in the House of Lords.
