The team begins to unravel a treasonous plan against Canada, but they fall under attack from one of their own. Disarmed and stripped of their survival gear, they are stranded in a remote location. Now the team must race against time not only to save themselves, but their country.

Ethan Jones in his new book, “Artic Wargame” Book One in the Justin Hall series published by the author introduces us to Justin Hall, a Canadian Intelligence Secret Service Agent. From the back cover: Canadian Intelligence Service Agent Justin Hall — combat-hardened in operations throughout Northern Africa — has been demoted after a botched mission in Libya. When two foreign icebreakers appear in Canadian Arctic waters, Justin volunteers for the reconnaissance mission, eager to return to the field. His team discovers a foreign weapons cache deep in the Arctic, but they are not aware that a spy has infiltrated the Department of National Defence. The team begins to unravel a treasonous plan against Canada, but they fall under attack from one of their own. Disarmed and stripped of their survival gear, they are stranded in a remote location. Now the team must survive the deadly Arctic not only to save themselves, but their country. When I was young I enjoyed reading the novels of Alistair MacLean, the author who gave us “The Guns Of Navarone” and “Ice Station Zebra” among many others. Whenever one of his books would come out I quickly purchased it and settled in for what I knew was going to be a wildly exciting adventure. Unfortunately Mr. MacLean died and there were no more adventures. That is until now and Ethan Jones. Welcome to the wonderful world of Justin Hall Canadian Spy. I was so intrigued by the idea of a Canadian spy that I knew I just had to get my hands on this book figuring Mr. Jones would provide a good thriller action adventure. Guess what? I was 100% correct! Ethan Jones knows how to write a complex spy novel where practically everything goes wrong on the mission, there is a traitor in their midst and their lives are in deadly danger stuck in the Arctic cold. “Arctic Wargame” is rich with sub-plot and mystery that will keep you guessing as you flip the pages as fast as you can read them. Mr. Jones has given us a great adventure not only of survival but of conquering the enemy against seemingly impossible odds. “Arctic Wargame” is very exciting and great fun to read. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Canada, Russia, Denmark or the United States, who should control the waters in the Canadian Arctic waters. Right now, the Canadians own it, but who is trying to control it? Two unidentified icebreakers start an investigation by the Canadian Intelligence Service. Agent Justin Hall is determined to find out who they are and what they want. Taking his team into some of the coldest areas, the are about to fight for Canada, and their lives. Well written, page turner, who can you trust and who do you believe. If you like adventure from the eyes of an agent doing his job, with a touch of romance thrown in for good measure, read Arctic Wargame.
